About Into The Margins

Into The Margins is an entrepreneurial media platform built on honest founder stories: what went wrong, what it cost, and what they’d do differently. We’re adding a host to bring those conversations to YouTube.

The Role

As our on-camera host, you’ll interview founders and lead original video segments. You’ll set the tone for every episode, make guests comfortable enough to speak openly, and press for real answers instead of rehearsed talking points. You’ll work directly with our producers and editors, and the face of the channel will be yours.

Responsibilities

• Host recorded founder interviews and conversational video segments
• Research each guest and prepare an outline with sharp, specific questions
• Lead the conversation in real time, including follow-ups and hard questions
• Record intros, outros, and transitions
• Plan episodes with producers and review rough cuts for accuracy and tone
• Keep to the recording and publishing schedule

Qualifications

• Proven experience hosting or interviewing on camera (podcast, YouTube, or similar)
• Confident, natural presence and strong listening skills
• Real curiosity about business and entrepreneurship
• Comfortable working from an outline, not a script
• Experience with remote recording tools such as Riverside, StreamYard, or Zoom
• A reliable home setup with decent lighting, camera, and audio
• Open to feedback and quick to adjust

Experience interviewing founders or executives is a plus.

Position Details

This is a remote contract role with a recurring recording schedule. You’ll record from your own space and coordinate with the team asynchronously.
